Dyslexia Assessment Testimonials

Thank you very much for the assessment, positive diagnosis of dyslexia and the in-depth report! I will begin to digest the content and let you know on any questions! Thanks for putting Joseph at ease and helping him through the assessment!

Paul

Thank you so much for making Jack feel at ease throughout the assessment. He did say he had a lovely time with you. The report was great and has now been shared with the school.

Gemma

We cannot begin to thank you enough for all your support, kindness, and communication throughout this process. We really appreciate your time and patience. Alex enjoyed spending time with you during the assessment and commented on how nice you were to him, so thank very much.

Kate

Firstly, I just want to say thank you so much for seeing in Harrison, what we as a family see in him. You have seen more in him with the 3 hours you had then his school have over the 4 years. We as a family know he is bright and capable of so much more, your reassurance and findings have confirmed that. Thank you so, so much for everything.
The report is so detailed and as a mother I feel you have seen what I see with him, with his abilities and potential.

Michelle

Thank you so much, we are forever grateful and over the moon with the diagnosis. We can now get her the extra help she needs.

Jess

I just wanted to say thank you for making us all so relaxed today. We felt really comfortable leaving Ella and she was telling us all about her morning with you on the way home and was clearly comfortable and confident. I look forward to reading the report . Thank you again.

Karen

Sophie was brilliant throughout, communicating quickly and clearly and making every effort to assess and provide a report before a tight school placement appeal date. Sophie made our son feel at ease throughout and delivered a comprehensive report in time, that contributed significantly to us winning our appeal and gaining our son the educational support he needed. I can't recommend enough.

Tony

Thank you very much for conducting the assessment, Barney really enjoyed it and was very happy afterwards.
And I so appreciate you coming back so quickly, thank you ever so much. This is very useful to have and understand the issues he’s been having. Thanks also for explaining in front of him that he is clever boy, that was my main driver for booking the assessment as I was getting worried about his confidence. As a mum, I know he’s very bright but it has been hard to make him believe it, particularly as his sister is such a bookworm!

Georgina

Many thanks for your email confirming Anais’ dyslexia diagnosis. I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for making Anais’ screening process as relaxed and stress free as it was, for both Anais and myself.
I hope that going forward, now Anais has a formal diagnosis that she will get the help she needs to reach her true academic potential.

Vicki

I highly recommend Sophie, who assessed my 12 year old daughter for dyslexia. She was kind, warm, thoughtful and considered, and produced a report that has really helped us to understand how we can help our daughter reach her potential.

Georgia

We’ve had a great experience with Sophie. The process was very efficient and my son felt very comfortable with her. Would definitely recommend!

Tuition Testimonials

Sophie is a great teacher because she will always help at any time. Sophie makes your time with her as fun as possible. She gives you an option on what you want to do so, say you wanted to write a story, just ask.

Gabriel, student. Aged 11

My son Gabriel was diagnosed as dyslexic when he was seven years old. From the beginning, Sophie encouraged him to see his dyslexia as an advantage. She has inspired him to play to his strengths, such as his amazing problem-solving abilities, imagination and creativity and has taught him strong and lasting strategies to manage areas which he finds more of a challenge, such as reading and spelling. Gabriel attended sessions with Sophie for four years and was always happy to go, always came out of the sessions with a big smile on his face and was full of chat about what they’d worked on together. It was often apparent how proud he was of what he’d achieved with Sophie.
Gabriel is off to grammar school in September, so our sessions have now ceased. But I feel reassured that I can always reach out for help and advice, should we need it at any point in the future. It was Gabriel’s transition day at the new school last week. His form tutor handed me a small booklet at the end of the day. All the children had one and on the last page, they’d been asked to write down what makes them special. Gabriel’s handwritten note reads: “I have Dislexia (sic) and I support Arsenal. I also love football.” I couldn’t be prouder that he’s put his dyslexic advantage right up with there with his love of football.
Thank you Sophie.

Becky, parent

I am writing to give a parent reference for Sophie Edmonds. At the age of eight, my daughter was identified by her primary school as displaying dyslexia-type symptoms so we sought the services of Sophie. Sophie carried out a thorough assessment, which gave her a sense of the problems. Sophie drew up a personalised teaching strategy which she delivered in a very carefully thought out manner. Sophie was friendly and welcoming and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her weekly sessions. When my daughter was first identified as dyslexic by her primary school she was achieving grades below the national expectations. However, during her time under Sophie’s supervision, my daughter’s grades improved to such an extent that she was exceeding national expectations in some areas and I honestly believe that is purely down to Sophie’s coaching. I would recommend Sophie to anyone.

Fraser's class teacher called me in yesterday to let me know how well he'd done in his year 3 sats. He's achieved above average across every test. I can't thank you enough for everything you do and the confidence you are giving him.

Kathryn

I just wanted to let you know that Will got his results for the Kent Test and Grammar Test this week. He did so well and I am really proud of him. He passed the Grammar test and only just missed out on the Kent Test… I think this is phenomenal. Thank you for all the work and support you gave him as I think it made all the difference for him.

Gemma

We are so happy with the progress Daniel has made. We would really like, if possible, for Daniel to carry on with you because I feel the 1-1 time he gets has helped his confidence and led to really good results.

Sue

Sophie initially carried out a dyslexic diagnostic assessment with my daughter, produced a very thorough report with helpful advice for moving forward. Sophie now works with my child on a 1:1 basis. We are very happy with her approach and my daughter enjoys her sessions. She clearly communicates the content of the sessions and the progress my daughter is making. I would highly recommend!
